On the 28th of November 2008 seats have been booked at the Brassiere Blanc,a restaurant in the old Registry Office in
Quakers Friar,
Castlemead Bristol.
Start time is 19.00pm, this will be a Christmas meal for all members and partners to attend if they wish, things have
to be finalized and it will be first come first served situation.

Trip to the London Eye and Greenwich.
Trip to Portsmouth the Royal Fort
Some kind of Canal Boat Trip
Exmoor -Train trip
Champagne Cruise around Portsmouth Harbour
Trip on the Avon Valley Train plus a Boat trip including a Cream Tea.
Trip in November to watch the Buick Swans fly in from Russia at Slimbridge from the Observatory and this can be followed
by a meal.

On the 28th of October at 18.45pm the Sea Cadets will be holding a Presentation Evening at the T/A centre Horfield and
they have very kindly invited us to attend, it would be nice to see some of our members there, I feel the Cadets would very
much appreciate having some of the Senior Citizens there to see what is happening in todays Navy.

On the 22nd of November 2008 at the R.N.A. Gloucester they will holding a Jazz Time evening with a Impersonator etc,
similar to the Shep Woolley evening they had a couple of months ago, the evening was well attended by our members and friends.

The most popular trips for 2009 is No 1. Champagne Cruise around Portsmouth Harbour. Tied for Second place are, a trip
on the Avon Valley train, plus a Boat trip, and Cream Tea. Trip in November to watch the Buick Swans fly in from Russia @

Trip to Portsmouths Royal Fort. Th ecommittee will further investigate these and come back to members with prices and
more details ASAP.
Just to remind members there will be a Remebrance Service at Page Park Staple Hill on Sunday the 9th of November, anyone
wishing to attend should meet at the Royal British Legion club Staple Hill at 10.15am ready for the parade.
